We are a ‘social enterprise’ with a mission to promote and support entrepreneurship and innovation for social change and environmental sustainability. We support entrepreneurial and innovative individuals, groups, community organizations and SMEs to develop and transform into successful and financially sustainable 'social enterprises'. We advocate for inclusive and sustainable practices among SMEs and social enterprises by raising awareness of consumer expectations, regulatory standards, and social responsibilities. Our training and capacity-building initiatives equip entrepreneurs and enterprises to meet market demands, emphasising socially responsible and environmentally sustainable best practices.

About Lanka Social Ventures

Lanka Social Ventures (LSV) is a ‘social enterprise’ with a mission to promote and support entrepreneurship and innovation for social change and environmental sustainability. LSV supports entrepreneurial and innovative individuals, groups, community organizations and SMEs to develop and transform into successful and financially sustainable 'social enterprises'. LSV is registered as a Public Company and governed by a board of directors representing public, private and community sectors. LSV operates as a non-profit company and the income we generate through commercial activities is re-invested in our social mission.

Uva and Southern Provinces

May to Oct .2026

Chrysalis IGNITE Project

The IGNITE project is a Chrysalis-led initiative focused on strengthening producer groups through capacity building, resilience planning, coaching, and structured documentation, as reflected across sections such as training, assessments, action plans, and reports . LSV’s role involves conducting producer group resilience assessments, training delivery, coaching and mentoring and good practice case study documentation and dissemination.

Central Province

January to August 2026

Chrysalis RISE Project

The RISE project focuses on strengthening 36 producer groups and 30 MSMEs in Central and Uva provinces through structured capacity building, grants, and livelihood and business planning support. LSV’s role is to assess their capacities, prepare grant proposals, design livelihood and social strengthening plans for producer groups and business plans for MSMEs, and then guide and facilitate them to implement these plans effectively.

Chrysalis FICE Project

The Fostering Inclusive Communities and Economies (FICE) project promotes sustainable and inclusive development in Sri Lanka by equipping MSMEs in five districts with the skills and guidance needed to thrive in a greener, more inclusive economy. Under this assignment, LSV was responsible for conducting gap analyses of 55 MSMEs, developing tailored coaching and mentoring plans, delivering district-level training on financial management, HR, process improvement, DEI, and green transition, and providing one-to-one coaching to refine business plans, marketing strategies, and sustainability frameworks.
